Why Inspection char text gets disturb when copying and editing from existing inspection plan

Hi Experts

Scenario: We need to create inspection plan by copy an exiting inspection plan by QP01 .This creates new group counter .We edit inspection charactrastic texts for short as well long text (as per suitable details)

Issue : When Task list is saved and check display of charactrastic text its adds additional text as “i>,<)>” in the long text of charactrastic

Additional Info :We have recently upgraded our system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and issue is coming after upgrade and my  be something upgrade related as SAP This could be something upgrade related as SAP has change the text editor in ECC 6.0

Pls suggest relavant SAP note number in case any info.

hi ,  System reacts correctly its profile parameters or text setting, u wait for smoe time system automatically remove these symbols and you get fare text in that field.

As far as my understanding is concer there is no change in object for long text, but there may be change in Version of Word which u are  using.

I am using two SAP instance one which is already on ECC 6.0

Here i have no issue in opening long text.

b) But second ,which recently get upgraded from R/3 4.7 to ECC 6.0 ,is giving above mentioned issue ,in fact ist happening even opening on long text of any SAP object.

I guess there should be something ,I check with other collegue and they are having same issue.

Pls let me know in further input is reqd.
