Attachments in PI7.3 (JAVA)

Hello All,

My client is having PI7.3 Java only installation but in their landscape they have a requirement to read attachements (using SOAP sender adapter) and send it to SAP system (content server) for further processing.

Please correct me if i am wrong (hope i am wrong),i have read it somewhere that PI 7.3 java only installation doesn't support attachments??

If this is true then what needs to be done to achieve this type of requirement?

Regards

Hi,

you're wrong adapters which support attachments support attachments on java only PI too

in most cases (like SOAP, XI adapter) just send the message with the attachment there's nothing more you need to do to have it in PI,

Hi Amit,

NW BPM does not support attachments. And PI 7.3 Java only does not support ccBPM. So, if you need process management with attachment support, then you cant go for PI 7.3 Java only.

Hi Udo,

Got it.

So this attachment limitation will only comes when we are dealing with BPM scenarios (NW BPM in PI7.31), but normal integration scenarios(which do not involve process management)  using adapters like SOAP, XI will support attachments...

Thanks
