Dynamic formatting in BPC 10 loss of functionality?

Hi all,

we are currently evaluating the BPC 10 version to see if we are able to solve all our customer requirements regarding the reporting.

In our productive envireonment we have BPC 7.5 and lots of "non-standard" EVDRE Reports that cannot be migrated via EPM migration functionality and the reports do not work properly as EVDRE in EPM Client. Thats why we try to rebuild some reports via EPM Report Designer.

In one of our applications the values for the first Period of our Plan are entered manually, the second period is calculated by increasing the entered value of the first year. Only adjustments (different datasources in different columns in report) are allowed here. So we have to ensure that cells are marked as inputcells (colour + Lock) on both datasources (input and adjust) for the first year but only datasource "adjust" is open for input for the second year.

In EVDRE Format Range it was no problem to archieve this via formulas in the Formatrange by referencing other cells where the first year was computed out of the Category.

In EPM Client we have the ugly EPMFormatSheet that is locked via password and all cells are locked. If we want to format a cell by using properties we can only select one static value of a given property and no manual adjustment to this format formula is possible.

Example: Category "MTBP2013" has a property called "FirstYear" with a value of "2013.DEC"

I want to apply a format to all columns where timeID = value of FirstYear Property of Category Dimension

Is there another way to archive this?

Regards

Jörg

Solved in SP11

You can no refer to a cell as "property" when the cell is a named range starting with "___"

Hi Jorg, Not sure if I understood the situtation correctly, but you may like to try EPMMEMBERPROPERTY within EPMOLAPMEMBER. This will help you pull data per your property change. Thanks.
