SSM Configuration: System Preparation (step 4.4)

When trying to configure step 4.4 on the SSM System Preparation (Set Authentication Policy for Agent) I get the following error messages:

CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT : SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")

CX_SOAP_FAILURE : Error when processing Web service call

CX_SOAP_CORE : Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")

I have no idea what this is and how to solve it....

Can you help me please?

thanks

Antonio

Hello,

I had same problem today and I will post my solution.

At that solution manager UME is configured in client 001 and bw lies in client 100. First I started with configuration of solman_setup in client 001, but now I changed to client 100. Nevertheless I think that users have to be created in client 001 too.

For system users a password is generated - this is enough for the normal case. But generation is different between client 001 and 100.

Wrong password was configured in step 4.3 "Enable Webservices", so step 4.4 crashed when choosing "use basic authentication".

I manually set password for user sm_intern_ws in both clients 001 and 100, but it would be enough to set in in UME-client. The user is used to configure connection and password is stored (see documentation in step 4.3 "enable webservices") and was locked after trying a few times with step 4.4.

After executing step 4.3 again, step 4.4 worked for me.

Julia

Hi,

I had the same issue at the same step in SOLMAN_SETUP.

I found a SAP note, which might be useful:

Note 1396999 - Diagnostics Setup error while connecting Java Web Service

So I checked the defaultTrace and found a more detailed error description

#Error while sending HTTP data. Status: 401. Message: Unauthorized. Please check if the target SLD system is available and the SLD bridge is started there.#

SLD configuration is handled in step 5, so I changed the

     "Agent Connectivity Policy"

to

     "Use Basic authentication (user/password)"

and was able to complete step 4.4

I hope this helps!

Best regards
