Tried to skip couple of tables/indexes by changing 'err' to 'ok' in the task files. But they keep on coming. If its fot 5-6 tables, we can ignore/skip but this is coming for most of them.

FYI -  i have un-installed exiting sol.mngr 7.0 with EHP1 and started to install the new version on oracle 11.2.0.3 on SUSE 11.

'work arounds' are welcome. but am definetly looking for a solution for this problem.

Srihari

Hi All,

Please let me know did you solve this issue?

I'am doing migration of our SM 7.1 from :

Windows 2003 R2 - > Windows 2012

Oracle 11.2.0.3 - > Oracle 11.2.0.4  (this version is supported for Win 2012)

I have stopped on Import ABAP step on Target system:

1. ORA-02220: "invalid MINEXTENTS storage option" -  I have solved this error with note: 1904315

but,

2. ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object - this error is for every next table i TSK file.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Are you using SWPM tool.

Check note [541538 - FAQ: Reorganization|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/541538]

Thanks

Hallo.

I use SWPM 1.0 to migrate Solution Manager 7.1 , from :

windows 2003 oracle 11.2.0.3

to

windows 2008 R2 oracle 11.2.0.4

I executed SMIGR_CREATE_DDL on the source system, I executed the export from SWPM->Solman 7.1 SR1 - >...

After I import in the target but I obtain for may indexes I have the error:

ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

I think that it could be a problem on the script generated by SMIGR_CREATE_DDL

It seems a problem related to some IOTs table script

Could you help me?

Thanks a lot

Mario

Have you read the SAPAPPL*.log's ?, Please post errors on the logs here.

Also,  updating the kernel specially R3load is a good idea.

I find the similar 'ORA-1403 when accessing table SAPUSER' errors for SAPAPPL1, SAPAPPL2 and SAPSSEXC.

I have just updated R3trans and tp. will update R3Load and try.

I have updated R3Load and the result is same.

Am suspicious about the ORA-00955. Has the older DB not uninstalled properly? I have used "Uninstall" option and after that i have manually deleted some existing old data. If this is the case, must I go for complete recreation of File system?

SQLFiles.LST not found

Did you run report SMIGR_CREATE_DDL in the source system?... Or this is a clean install?

No, i have not run the report. This is just a plaininstallation .. not a migration.

This shouldn't be an issue, You should run the Oracle uninstall and clean your datafiles/logs from the  oracle filesystems and that should be enough.

Hi Juan,

I shall keep the uninstallation option as a last resort. But, is there anyway to come out of this phase without stopping the current installation process?

Drop the Oracle database as below

shutdown abort;

startup mount exclusive restrict;

drop database;

Delete the contents of the SAPINST installation directory.

Then start the SAPINST again  , it should not take much time to reach the phase you are in .

Your database software is already installed. So sapinst will not stop for installation of Oracle software.

I did not ask you to uninstall, I was answering your previous question.

anyway to come out of this phase without stopping the current installation process?

What version of oracle are you on?, did you install the SBP's?, What kernel are you using?, I would update the whole kernel, usually Kernel DVD's have very out of date ones.

Hi Ratnajit,

Before starting this installation, i faced similar error. After dropping the DB, i have started the current one and am again facing the same issue. Probably i have not done the cleanup well. Let me check and come back.

Aside Juan,

OPatch Version: 11.2.0.1.8

SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.3.0 Production

is this the culprit?!!

I cant tell for sure, but you should apply the SBP (SAP Bundle Patch) directly after the Oracle install as a norm.

Hello,

What do you mean by old DB ? You said it is new installation. Further when you deleted your database did you clean up the data files ?

Anyways first please explain  the old DB thing.

Regards.
