Problem installing a Canon Imagerunner printer at SPAD

Hi

I am having a issue installing a printer @ SPAD. When I try to print, nothing comes out.

The printer is a canon imagerunner (ir2525) and we are on ECC 6.0

The printer is installed on a server as a network printer, and prints fine for non SAP requests (internet, excel, etc) so I know my install is fine.

When I print from SAP, I see the print requests hit the spool on server and it disappear as if it printed, but nothing comes out.

My settings are

Host spool access method : F

Host Printer: \\SERVER\sharename

Device Type: SAPWIN: Rel.4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ only

Device Class: Std Printer

I have tried choosing Device type Canon or HP  but still did not print.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have setup many HP printers in the past with no issue.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it

Regards

Ken

you r using Host spool access method : F

So this is Frontend printing. Was this your requirement ??

if yes, then Host Printer should be set to __DEFAULT .

Hello Ken,

I am facing the same problem that you faced earlier,  as the post thread is too old and i hope your issue is resolved.

Can you tell me what you have done if the issue was resolved ?
