CSOL Query in Quality Gate Management

Hello,

We're currently using SAP 7.1 SP3 and are using Quality Gate Management

to manage our transports.

Here's a description of our current scenario.

  1. We have three QGM projects - P1, P2 and P3.
  2. All three projects are of type "Implementation".
  3. Our Cross System Object Lock configuration is as follows
  4. 3.1 If transport 1 in P1 locks an object that is to be used in transport

2 in P2 then the system should show an error.

  1. 3.2 If transport 1 in P1 locks an object that is to used in transport 3

in P1 then the system should show a warning.

  1. To summarise, transports in the same project locking objects are shown

as warning. Whereas transports between two different projects are shown

as errors.

Our Requirement:

We want the system to show warning if the transports that are spread

across projects belong to the same type - e.g. Implementation for P1 and

Implementation for P2. But transports that are spread across project

belonging to different type - e.g. Implementation for P1 and

Maintenance for P3 the system should show an error.

Is this possible? If yes, could you please explain how this is done.

Please find attached the screen shot of our current CSOL config in our system.

hi,

Yes, this is posible. just make the customizing only which you want to prompt error, rest of the conflicts system by default displays the warning.

Since you are using implementation prject,

Select the change relation type only as "Overlapping"

P1 objects used in P2 you want to trigger error. then select project relation as "Cross" and the object type selection depends on you, if you select cross client only repository object considered to analyse, so I suggest you to choose "Client specific"

there are other sceraios listed here
