Dear sd gurus

            very good mng...i have one doubt about Description in billing ,i know  only CMIR Only can pass Description of Material , customer description is picked from kna1

my doubt is why only  this possibility to only CMIR

Dear Venu,

Description of Material will be passed to subsequqnt document ( sales order- delivery - billing doc)from material master record as well, it doesnt mean if the CMIR not created in the system then system will not show the description of the material. this is incorrect.

Material Description Flow without CMIR :

If you dont maintain CMIR for a given customer material combination, then the description flow will be as follows :

Material master - Sales Order -Delivery - Billing

Material Description Flow with CMIR:

If you maintain CMIR for a given customer material combination, then the description flow will be as follows :

CMIR - Sales Order -Delivery - Billing
