Solution Manager 7.1 SOLMAN_SETUP step 6.3 error ...

Hi, I have installed SAP Solution Manager 7.1 with 7.20 kernel. I need configure with my SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 6 integration.

I run SOLMAN_SETUP transaction until 6.3 step, when I press Get Agents nothing happend. I look at SMD Agent Administration and I cant not see any agent.

My SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6 Server its with 7.20 kernel, but no Java Engine, just ABAP. However it install an instance called DAA , this is Agent I guess. I have 3 services running:

SAPDAA_97

SAPHostControl

SAPHostExec

All running and ok.

Now , How can I do to get my agents at 6.3 step? .... I have read many guides, notes, and nothing.

I use this command from my ECC Server:

smdsetup managingconf hostname:’sapms://host.fqdn’ port:"8101" user:"J2EE_ADMIN" pwd:"XXXXXXXX"

I use this command later:

smdsetup managingconf hostname:'host.fqdn' port:"5004" user:"J2EE_ADMIN" pwd:"XXXXXX"

I try a telnet from ECC Server to SolMan with port 5004 and is fine.

When I check log files in ECC Server Agent Directory (D:\usr\sap\DAA\SMDA97\SMDAgent\log)

I found this:

I restart servers, and nothing.

Now, to connect my SAP ECC Server to Solution Manager, what can I do?, I want finish solman setup. Agents are installed in ECC Server and with commands I change destination to Solution Manager, but no connection is posible.

Do I need any at Solution Manager Server??, J2EE_ADMIN is SAP_ALL, SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR and SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR, but nothing.

Do I need to configure any at SAP ECC EHP6?? .

Java instance is OK at SolMan server.

Are these steps: ??

1) Install Agents at SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6 ?? ... ready

2) Configure agents to go to Solution Manager?? .... ready but erros

3) At Solution Manager ??? .....

Please I need your help!

Hi Jose

I am assuming that your are using Solution Manager as central SLD.

I think you agents are not registered properly in Solution Manager SLD.

I would suggest you to register you agents again.

Or I would suggest best would be to Re- install DA, as reinstalling will take less time then troubleshooting,

and then register it in during installation in Solution Manager SLD.

Please register with the user that is created during setup.

Thanks for your help. I do following:

1) Download guide: https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012006153200000648082012E/730_Diag_Agent_Setup_Guide.pdf

2) I download Agent Software from marketplace, at guide explain where.

3) I unistall my agent

4) I install again a new agent running SAPins, like guide show.

5) In Setup, I select my solution manager server as SLD destination with my parameters (user, port)

6) I select "Configure conection" at screen Connection of the Diagnostic Agent to SAP Solution Manager

7) Connecton type for diagnostic Agent I select: P4 connection via SCS message server

😎 I put my solution manager data.

9) Install and finish ok

10) I return to Solman_setup and I cant get my agent.
