Dear All,
I have projects that have been running in the Backward scheduling mode for a while now. Now, I am trying to convert them into Forward scheduling such that the decisions can be more adequately based on earliest possible dates. However, when I changed the scheduling type from Backward to Forward and then applied the appropriate Basic Start Date into the network header, for some reason, the system updates both the start and finish dates on the network and pushes my basic start date prior to the start date that I enter. There were a couple of confirmations with actual dates dating back to that time and I have removed all the actual dates. But, still the system is proposing an older start date than what I enter.
Any ideas to understand why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.
First of all delete all scheduled/basic dates from WBS and networks(Gantt Chart > Edit > Select All, Edit > Delete Dates/Durations). Then try rescheduling.
Regards,
Mahendra

Hi
Whether there is any constraint on Project finish date?
