Document Template not reflecting

Hi All,

I created a custom document type and imported a document template to it.When i try to create a new document using this document type it does not open up the template for me.It opens up a blank blank word document.Please advise what i might be missing.

Hi Mownika,

First thing that comes to my mind is the context. When you create/upload a new template for doc types, it'll throw a popup asking for the context. Did you change the standard values? With different values, the template would be stored in  a different context and would not appear for the new docs.

Also,  maybe report SOLAR_DOCTYPE_TEMPLATE_CLEANUP can help to solve the problem. It finds inconsistencies in the doc templates and correct them.
