Need Information about SAP Solution Manager

Hi  ,

       Can any one give below information regarding SAP Solution Manager (latest Version)?

•         How it usefull for our ERP Business?
•        is it Separate Server like SAP ECC and PI  Server?
•        how to Insatll and what is  minimum Server Configuration Required ?
•        how  can i use as ABAP / PI / MM Consultant ?
•        We Work on Master Data Management , so how SAP Solution Manager is beneficial  us?

Note: I am new bee SAP Solution Manager , Please guide me .

   You can use PI Monitoring, for ABAP there is the functioality in CDMC which helps you to optimize your custom programs, even other functionality like Charm define a proper approval workflow where you all developers are involved. again Testing also supported by Solman efficiently,

5. Yes, you can Monitor your MDM also inside SAP and Can configure RCA for MDM

Hi Jansi,

              Can you please tell me , is SAP Solution Manager used only for Monitoring the SAP Objects / Server etc..
              or we can use for Non-SAP Platform (like Java, .net,Oracle etc......).

example : Suppose   ABC . Ltd Company is an Individual Softwre Product based  (i.e. Non-SAP ) like Java
               Application ,  can they use SAP Solution Manager for this Company ? , but they don't have any SAP Platform.
               they want to use SAP Solution Manager , Can we ?
               if "Yes" , so basically what Configuration Required to Connect SAP Solution Manager to Non-SAP Applications and How , do you have any Sample Document (i.e.               Connect SAP Solution Manager to Non-SAP Application .

Note:  ABC . Ltd Company  Use to Monitor his Non-SAP Application , Testing Document,Technical ,Functional Spec , Development Status , Alert Configuration etc..........
