SOLMAN 7.1 SOLMAN_SETUP no instance path

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I'm in Solman 7.1 SP 11 and I'm trying to setup Managed System (ECC 6.0

Dev System).  In step 11 (check configuration) I have the following error:

Error: No Instance path of DVEBMGS00 was saved in step Enter Landscape

Parameters.

Warning: No ICM Host of instance DVEBMGS00 was saved in step Enter

Landscape Parameters.

All the previous steps are with led green.  In step 6 (Enter Landscape

Parameters) the instance path is /usr/sap/ER1 and also the led is green.

Thank's in advance

Best Regards

Hello Juan Carlos!

I have the same error in the step 11. In my case, in the step 6, the "status" column has the "No parameters" selection and it has green status. We can't change the value to assign the path instance value. The dialog box message about the status display is "No parameter input needed for this Abap Installed Technical System". Can you solve the issue?

Hi Johan,

In my case the problem was solved adjusting LMDB for my system ER1.

On ER1 system I had SAP BASIS 7.02

installed. However I had selected as diagnostics relevant only SAP

ECC product. So either I added the EHP2 for SAP ECC as diagnostic

relevant or SAP EHP2 for SAP Netweaver which is flagged as instalaled

also Diagnostics relevant. This would be the preferred solution. For

this you have to go to the technical system editor, and check the diag

relevant flag in addition of the installed flag which is already

checked. Then re-run the setup and the issue should be fixed.

Hi, Juan's answer is the correct solution. You have to select at least one correct product instance for diagnostics relevant in LMDB. then you will be able to adjust the install path in step 6. If the status of step 6 is all green, but all pathes are all 'No parameters', you will always encoutner issue in the last step, the root cause is that solman cannot perform relevant diagnostics config for the current product instance(s) which is marked as "diagnostics relevant".

Dear Juan,

This is due to the fact that the SMD agent of your managing system is not correctly attached to your SAP Solution Manager system.

Dear Juan,

Sorry, I have writtend managing instead managed ... :

This is due to the fact that the SMD agent of your managed (not managing) system (

ECC 6.0  Dev System) is not correctly attached to your SAP Solution Manager system.

Hi PAscal,

Thank's for your answer.  In step 4 "Assign Diagnostics Agent" I have everything OK..  Status OK, and in Agent Admin everything looks OK...

What more can I review..??

Hi Juan,

When it does not find the instance path, I first check if the managed SMD agent is correctly attached.

Can you :

1.     Stop your wily IEM.

2.     Restart it

3.     Re-attach your managed SMD agent to Solman

Hello Yogesh,

I have the same issue / error. Status: No parameters.

I cant change values in LMDB (mark as installed) because I get the following error (however data is sent correct periodically):

Software components (e.g. BP-ERP 604V2 (BP-ERP 604V2)) are supplied automatically for this system

Message no. LMDB_BO123

Diagnosis

Automatically supplied installed software components should not be changed manually.

There are automatic data suppliers that register technical systems automatically to SAP Solution Manager. The current technical system has been registered by such a data supplier. Usually, this data has a high quality and should not be changed manually.

Check whether a change is really required.

Procedure

In case technical system definition is wrong, first check if the automatic data supplier for the managed technical system still delivers data.

Regards

Mike
