Old Spool requests not getting deleted from TEMSE database by Reorganization Jobs

Former Member

Hi Folks,

In our ECC system, the TemSe data which includes old spool logs, Job logs, BDC logs is being reorganized by housekeeping jobs regularly and they are running fine.

Still we find that there are many old spool requests since 2011 which are in “waiting” state are still existing in TemSe database.

In the system, Currently the Variant RSPO0041 run by job SAP_REORG_SPOOL is deleting only completed and expired spool requests (older than 10 days).

Do we need to check the “All requests with min age” box for it to delete all the old spool requests of all statuses older than 10 days?

Can we delete the old spool requests that are still in waiting state?

Please suggest.

Regards,

Prateek

Hi Prateek,

Use the report RSP01041 for the Spool reorg job.

But please go through below note once as you need to select correct factory calendar for this report to delete the spool requests.

Please check SAP note 1532398.

If you want the job to delete spools irrespective of the calendar, please select include all days while running the report.

Hope this information helps you.

Good luck.

Pradeep

Hi, Try with RSPO1041 Program. It is a updated version.

This also may be that in the server , the program does not find the files.

Sure you can.

When you delete Old Spool Requests, select "All Spool Requests", this will delete all spool requests regardless of status with the minimum age specified.
