Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with NW 2004s (Solution Manager 4.0) Win2003 Server SP1 and Oracle 10g

At first iSQL*Plus started just fine, the problem appeared after windows reboot. I've tried everything (I guess) but nothing seems to help.

TIP: If you have multiple oracle homes on the server, remove ORACLE_HOME from environment variables. That might do the trick (If you have multiple oracle homes).

I don't have multiple oracle homes and that did not help in my case.

Anyone... please help us!

Thanks and Regards,

Tommi

Hi

here the answer from SAP:

Please Disable the Service iSQL*Plus. SAP don't need this Service to start.

They don't know, wehre the problem with the iSQL*Plus Service is.

This service is not essential to run Oracle. it is an engine to run SQL commands from your web browser.

To fix this issue, I would apply the latest patch levels:

patch 10.2.0.2

plus minipatch 13.

read your message:

The following information is part of the event: Failed to find ORACLE_HOME

So, you need to set your ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID environment variables. you can add them this way:

right-click on My Computer

choose Properties

click on ADVANCED tab

click on Environment variable

Add it there!

Good luck

Hi Eric, I've set this Environment variable with:

ORACLE_HOME=E:\oracle\SM1\102

ORACLE_SID=SM1

And I've set some variables to SAP too, for example SAPDATA_HOME, etc.

The path of this servicies is E:\oracle\SM1\102\bin\isqlplussvc.exe

Do you have another suggestion?

Regards.
