Hi,
In my landscape i have BI PRD and DEV. Due to some issues our development is down and most of the activites are performed on BI PRD.
Now i would like copy data from PRD to DEV. I did client export and import of client with sap_all profile. But the technical of dev diferred from prd. As the technical system names are hard coded in my programs i would like to retain same technical name.
If i want to copy what will be the best way to do it now system copy or backup restore of prd to dev.
Kindly post ur suggestions.
Thank You
Hi Kranthi,
Database backup/restore option is best option to have development as production.

Dear Kranti
You can go with any of the options.
just check below points
1) if you want to do standard system then you need to generate exports from PRD which needs downtime. or
2) You can start system copy by selecting database backup/restore option.
Best of Luck

Hello Kranthi,
If the OS and DB of both the systems (Dev and Prd) has same version, then backup & restore would be the ideal way to refresh your dev database.
