ECC - ITS Screens are not opening properly from Portal

Hi

Our EP is 7.0

Our Backend ECC is ERP 6.0 EhP5 [ NW EhP2]

We are not sure ,  what happened & how happened

Suddenly we observer

HTML / ITS screens of ECC System are not opening properly

you can see below

We tried to open SM50 screen of ECC from portal and it got opened as below.

Which is totally scatted .

First 3/4th page is totaly empty - blank in white

In the bottom you see some thing ..[ See below screen shot ]

If we try to open the same HTML screen directly from ECC ABAP System

It is showing perfectly

**** We were unlucky to see any entries in default trace pertaining / connecting to this ***

Did you try tracing the HTTP requests, that can give you a hint.

Run the same steps in Firefox/IE with HTtpFox or httpwatch installed, and see what are the URLs getting generated, is there any issues with these URLs

Few more check points

1) Does the user has the correct auth in backend

2) is the backend System object working fine in Portal

Some how - we stuck - Why we stuck - We don't  know.

We did a HTTP trace and found Error while accessing over portal

We found 2 lines

[Thr 2571] HttpPlugInWriteErrorText: return static error for "Permission denied" (-13)                                             

[Thr 2571] HttpPlugInWriteErrorText: templ_path: /usr/sap/Q11/DVEBMGS05/data/icmandir/error_templ, err_idx: -1 

When we tried a note with Error  "HttpPlugInWriteErrorText"

We got the SAP Note - 508300 - ICM Patch Collection (Release 6.20).

This note is not for the current version of what we are runnig, but given a Opportunity to think towards KERNEL UPGRADE.

We upgraded th KERNEL - The issue got resovled.
