Report: Shortage Check in Product Allocations

Hi,

As per my understanding, the report /sapapo/atpq_alert displays the shortage situation for a given product allocation group (PAG) for available CVCs.

I have observed that we can see the shortages in PAG if the 'neutral check' indicator in check instructions is on which allows incoming order quantity > allocation quantity.

But if the nuetral indicator is 'OFF' then the incoming order quantity will never be greater than allowed allocation in that bucket. So I would like to know if in such cases are there any chances of shortage. In other words, is the shortage report applicable in that case ?

Regards,

RS

Hi RS,

Yes, the report should be applicable..usually it should not happen, but it might happen that (due to unknown root cause e.g. userexit, system bug) you get a overallocation/overconsumption so that the report can raise an alert. I think its a useful alert..

best regards,

Michael
