unable to create a stock using T code MB1C

hello all. i have an IDES VMware practice server installed on laptop. the date on my laptop is the current date i.e 29-08-2012 .from the t code MMPV i have check and closed the period for 12/2012. now when i am trying to create a stock for a material it gives me an error that the period 12/2012 is not open and posting is not allowed.

with the help of some FICO patrons on the scn i tried t code ob52 and make the change as-

Z130     +   1     2008     12     2015     13     2008 16    2010

Z130     A     ZZZZZZZZZZ     ZZZZZZZZZZ     1     2008     12     2015     13     2008     16     2010

but still getting the same error while trying to create stock in MB1C.please tell what to do next???

Hi

Can you check and update the open period for your system by MMRV. It should be 01/2013.

As per my understanding if you had closed the period for 12/2012, the system automatically closes the periods for all previous months. So if your system date is 08/2012 and you posting stock in current period, then system will not allow you.

Also Try posting the stock after 12/2012 or any date in open period shown in MMRV. and update the results here

By going to t code MMRV i found out the current period is 12/2012 and it is open.the posting is allowed in 12/2012 only..whentried to create stock. I am getting an error message - period 12/2012 is not open for account type S AND G/L 799999.

Try this settings in OB52

Z130     S      (From=NIL)   To= ZZZZZZZZZZ   1     2008     12     2015     13     2008     16     2015

Also make the same settings for rest of the entries.
