Issue with Showing Marker Value for Chart Type of "Custom"

When we are using "Custom" as the type of Chart, we are not able to show Marker Value though the checkbox of this is checked. Please see image below

But we are able to show the Marker Value with "Bar" as Chart Type and checking Show Marker Value (Please see below)

Can anybody tell how to show Marker Value with "Custom" chart type can show Marker Value? Please let me know if I've missed anything?

Do other Custom chart pen types work with this setting (something other than a Bar)?  If you are seeing mixed results it may be a good idea to enter a customer support ticket.
