PI Alerts : Exception received: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.net.UnknownHostException: test

Hello All,

We are on PI 7.3 JAVA only version .

Configured Alerts and recieving alerts as expected.

However, in addition to alerts for failure messages I am recieving Blank alerts for adapter engine.

There is no message ID for this alert. and description of alert is:

The following error occurred in Adapter Engine in PI

Error : Exception received: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.net.UnknownHostException: test

preliminary investigation is that JSch exceptions occur for SFTP and SSH related issues.

We have SFTP adapter and PGP keys in our environment. But we are not using them in development environment though communication channels were configured.

Please share your inputs on how to resolve this issue...

Dear Jan,

         Intersting post. However details are missing.

Do you see any errors in the PI Message Monitor on a failed message ?

Can you correlate the error in Alert framework to any message processing failure in the Channel monitor or the PI MM ?

Have you enabled Tracing and logging for the SFTP Adapter component and look at the debug traces ?

Do you see any output there ?

Hi,

1. Failure messages are there in MM and recieved Alert for the same.

2. This Alert Does not have any message ID, Believe that It is from AE without actually running interface.

3. logs also not providing much of info.

Any more inputs plz.
