PS integration with PPM 5

Hello,

I have some problem and I hope that somebody can help me.

We have PPM 5 that integrated with PS , i.e. we can create project in PS from PPM item and update some fields in PS. - it's working OK.

I need to update some fields in PPM item from PS (Project definition). I defined those fields in SAP Portfolio and Project Management-> Common Functions -> Decision Flow Management -> Attribute Synchronization -> Maintain Field Mappings under Main grouping "PD"-"PD", but nothing happened, i.e. changing data in PS project and saving not updating item in PPM.

I guess that I must to define something in PS, so a question is :

Can somebody tell me how to define data flow from PS to PPM ?

Hello,

I am working on SAP PPM5.0 and I have the same issue.

The process is the following:

- Creation of a portfolio item

- Automatic creation of a PS project when saving the portfolio item

I would like to synchronize some fields from item to PS project and from PS project to item.

I have maintained all settings concerning DFM for attributes synchronization:

- initial create: from item to PS project

- horizontal synchronization : from item to PS project

- horizontal synchronization: from PS project to item

Synchronization from item to PS project is working well.

However it does not work from PS project to item. So when I make changes to dates in SAP PS project definition, no updates are done in the corresponding portfolio item.

Can anyone help me on that issue?

Hi Leonid,

I'm not clear about, what exactly is your field mapping for!!?

But from your last question, I would give an input. Hope this will work. In the item view, there is "Relationship" tab. Inside that, select the "Object links". And choose your object as "PS Project Definition(RPM)". Now update the fields & check.

If its for some costs, you'll have to run some reports.
