Hi,

In addition to Budget restriction which has enforce at each WBS element level, there is a need to restrict budget utilization based on the project coding mask.

Your advice will be a great help.

Thanks,

Dileepa.

Hi Dileepa,

following ideas (I would try them in this order)

1) you assign the budget profile per project profile

2) try a substitution to derive the budget profile automatically when the project is initially saved

3) use SAPLBPFC, EXIT_SAPLBPFC_002

Hi Thorsten,

It will be a complex development isn't? Isn't there a direct user exit we can refer which trigers at FI posting only?

Thanks,

Dileepa.

Hi Dileepa,

was on vacation... hence only answering now:

(1) would not be a development at all. pure customizing  + (2) would be rather a small development

I am not aware of any suitable user exit except the aforementioned.

You might try EXIT_SAPLBPFC_002. This will be called during FI posting when the availability control runs.

Best regards

Hi Dileepa,

I think control budget avilability at FI posting depending on the mask it is very difficult or impossible it is not only control the FI posting.

The option proposed by Thorsten ( control project profile) can be works, but I would do this one :

Create 1 project profile ( or all needed), create 1 status profile with status XXXX

Status XXXX : doesn't control budget --> you need to select the right business operations in the status.

These are settings

Then you need to create a rule ( You can use BADI : WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE method AT_SAVE ) and create a easy substitution : If Mask = ****  set user status XXXX

I hope this can be useful,

Sara
