Hello all,
I have a question which RFC connections are necessary between XI 3.0 and TREX 7.00 in a CCM 2.0 distributed scenario?
EBP and CCM are on different clients on the same SRM 5.5 server, the XI is on a second server, and the TREX search engine is on a third server.
I have configured the XI with the CatalogPublicationOnWAS700 scenario and have the following RFC connections configured and working:
R/3 connections: XI to EBP, XI to CCM, CCM to XI, CCM to EBP, EBP to CCM, EBP to XI
HTTP connections: XI to CCM, CCM to XI
TCP/IP connections: CCM to TREX, CCM to XI (SAPSLDAPI & LCRSAPRFC)
What I'm missing are HTTP connections between XI and TREX. I this correct in this scenario? Do I have to delete the HTTP connections between XI and CCM?
I am asking because I get an ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED error at the plain http adapter in the XI when I try to post a catalog.
If anyone has a configuration guide/documentation for my scenario described above, could you please send it?
Best regards,
Karsten
Hi Karsten
You need 2 HTTP connections from CCM to XI.
1) XI Integration server
2) Plain HTTP adapter (path prefix = /sap/xi/adapter_plain)

Hello Ramki,
sorry for the late answer, but I was abroad without access to my system.
I already have two HTTP connections (type H) from CCM to XI: one plain http adapter (path prefix: /sap/xi/adapter_plain) and one general (path prefix: /sap/xi/engine/?type=entry).
Unfortunately that doesn't work.
My guess now is that the http receiver channel that was generated automatically for the TREX system in XI during import/configuration of the scenario CatalogPublicationOnWAS700 has missing data because of the error type ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED.
I get this error, too, when I create a http connection from XI to TREX with the same data.
In this generated http receiver channel I have the follwoing data:
adapter type: HTTP
receiver
transport-protocol: http 1.0
message protocol: XI payload in http body
adapter engine: Integration server
address type: URL-address
server: <IP address>
service: 8001
no path prefix.
Maybe the path prefix is missing, but I found nowhere what to enter here.
Regards,
Karsten
Karsten, please refer to the following document for CCM technical setup, including connectivity:
