unable to start sap

Hi All,

Below is the error from the trace file.I am unable to start SAP .

Hello there,

In all of the dispatcher outputs, there is never a crash or a sudden stop from what I could see. This means that the dispatcher is currently running, right? Can you see the dispatcher process running at OS level?

In case the process is not running but the trace is updated in the attempt, the cause for the crash will be in the "dev_disp".

Above log does not show any errors as far as I can see... Can you please be more specific about your problem to start the instance?

Does R3trans -d returns with 0000 or not?... have you checked the developer traces?

if yes , then suggest you to kill the sapstartsrv process which are instance specific for both the ASCS instance and primary application instance.

If you have only 1 instance , kill the sapstartsrv process for that instance .

Then login as <sid>adm

Execute

# /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/sapcpe pf=<instance_profile_ASCS>

# /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/sapcpe pf=<instance_profile_CI>

Before that please clean the IPC memory segments using cleanipc.

Then try to start the SAP system.

Again started the SAP and DB , still facing the same issue

You are missing the first / sign while running the command.

Also execute /sapmnt/TBW/exe/uc/sun_64/disp+work

Hi Ram,

Please check if the kerel in the /sapmnt/<SID>/exe//<UC/NUC>/<Platform>/ and /usr/sap/<SID>/<DVE*>/exe

are same by doing a more on the sapmainfest.mf file.

Try to run following command from sidadm user

1. "stopsap"

2. cleanipc <istance_number> remove

3. ps -ef | grep <sidadm>

4. kill any processes running from sidadm user

5. startsap

If the system doesnt start even now, please paste the dev_ms, dev_disp and dev_wp0 logs.

Hi all,

I am beginner in SAP installation. I started last Wednesday with trial version 7.03 and got also this error:

*** ERROR => NilRead: SiRecv failed for hdl ...

I found a lot of posts about this error. I tried to change virtual memory, checked etc/hosts, deactivated firewall, but the problem was that the port 65000 is already used by NVIDIA Streamer Service.

To check if the port is already used:

netstat -ao | findstr 65000

This will give you you the PID from the running service that use port 65000, so in task manager you can identify the service.

After stopping the NVIDIA streamer service ( I don't know yet how to change the port...), I could finish the install.

Your solution worked for me .

You are new in SAP but I guess yo have a brilliant future in SAP .

My NSP was perfectly working , then I had to update my NVIDIA driver due to some Explorer Issues and a as a result my NSP system could´t start .

It sounds easy (only if you find your post, 10 hours later).

I have stopped and set to manual the Nvidia Streamer Service ( I hope it´s not necessary) and now NSP is running again .
