Assignment of a batch is required at the time of Usage Decision

Hi Gurus,

We have a batch management of the materials, When we do GR(Gate entry) at mov. Type 103, system does not create batch. When GR has done then system creates inspection lot.

Following error is showing at the time of UD-    

Assignment of a batch is required

Message no. QV044

Diagnosis

Material 1000001 is to be managed in batches.

System Response

The usage decision cannot be made until a batch is specified for the inspection lot (010000001143).

Procedure

Select a batch for material 1000001. Then you can make the usage decision.

For this I apply note 302854 & 170081 but system shows implementation status Cannot be implemented.

Please suggest me....

Hello,

For a Batch Managed Material, it is madatory to maintain/assign a Batch before doing UD for '03' Inspection Type Lots.

Assign Batch Number, then only system would save the UD.

Check SAP Note 170081 - UD: Possible to make UD without batch assignment

Implementation is not possible of note as it doesn't contains any code correction instead steps to elliminate the error.

yes Batch is necessary at the time of UD, But for this we need to create 2 batches for the GR i.e.103 & 105 for same Material.

User want only 1 batch on GR & i.e. done against 105 Mov. Type.

This is the case for Raw Material having inspection type 01.
