Automatic Budget Postings After Fiscal Year Change

Hi:

Automatic budget posting help says that it is required to be configured if we want that carried forward commitment items not to generate budget consumption in new year , instead they consume budget of previous year. To date i have not configured it . I have only activated carry forward of budget commitment for value types

PR

PO

Invoices

DPR

Parked documents

Down payments

and have set the activation status Active. Since i can not test these year end related scenario that is why i am having understanding issues.

Please guide.

ABP is more relevant if you are using budget releasing functionality. For better understanding on ABP functionality the below threads will help to u.

Hi:

Yes we will use budget release functionality but please note that residual budget carry forward will occur for few of our commitment items/fund centers combination else carrying forward of residual budget is not required. Requirement is to be able to carry forward open commitments related to PR, PO, Invoices , Parked documents to the next year so that when their actual posting occurs budget of only previous year is consumed. I wanted to know if the ABP has anything to do with this of scenario.
