Converting Smartform output to PDF

Francis417

Hi,

I've created a smartform with borders printed around the content as shown in SAP widndow in the attached figure. When I try to convert it to a PDF file using the command PDF! at the preview screen, I just discovered that the borders as well as the content included within the borders disappeared in the converted PDF. Also, the Chinese characters cannot be converted as well.

Anybody knows how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

Francis

In the tab "output options" of the window, check the box "Lies with "

to have the window border.

save and activate it...:)

Dear Sudheer,

Thanks for your reply. In fact I've already checked the 'Lies with' for the box enclosing the wordings 'Confidential' as shown in the SAP window in the previous picture. However, the lines still disappear in the PDF created using PDF!

Thanks,

Francis

Hi Francis,

the pdf-controll uses an URL for the pdf-document:

...//<host>.<domain>.<extension>:<port>/sap ...

i.e. the pdf is being displayed via internet services.

Did you check, wether the ITS services, transaction SICF, of your SAP system is maintained properly?

Regards,

Dirk

Dear Dirk,

Appreciate if you can give me some more information on how I should check what is now maintained in transaction SICF is correct or not.

Thanks,

Francis

Hi,

When using the PDF! command from the preview page, no control is used. Function module SSFCOMP_PDF_PREVIEW is called.

You might want to try to preview the form with another printer/device type.

From the preview I see u use printer LOCC, what device type does it have?

What about printer LOCL?

Kind regards,

Jeroen
