Shipping type from Route table

Hi

I have requirement where i need to automatically pull the shipping type from the Route table into the Purchase order / sales order screen.

I tried finding out for this and most of the threads says this can done using userexit. Can you please help me to suggest as can we achieve this through standard configuration.

I suggest check in t.code 0VTC. Here select the route and in details you can find field for maintaining shipping type. Maintain relevant values and check by creating a sales order/purchase order.

I dont think, through standard configuration, this can be achieved.  You have to go for relevant user exit for this.
