SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 Installation

Hi,

We need to install SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 on a server [Fresh Installation].

I just want to know what all things we neeed to perform related to operating system, database, NW stack side, JAVA side and so on.

Kindly guide us what steps we need to follow for NW 7.3 installation.

Hi Sameer,

You need to just follow the installation and master guide from service market place. Check  the Portal availability matrix from the service market place to see which OS and DB are compatible.

Hi Sameer,

yes, its available in service market place.

go to service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Netweaver 7.3 -> Installation.

and download the guide.

The blog is helpful for a fresh installation of NW 7.3 JAVA on Windows Server 2008 x64bit

But I would like to know how do I install the DB, which will be in our case -

SQL Server 2008 R2

How should I proceed with this?

Hi sameer,

The SQL Server instilattion files will also be available in service market place. When you select the DB as SQL server for Portal , that will give you a set of files which also includes DB files.

Two things more related to SAP NetWeaver 7.3 Installation

1) Will the SAP EHP1 NW 7.3 Installation same like the one mentioned here-

2) What version  SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard / Enterprise edition will support SAP NetWeaver 7.3?
