Handle snote in inconsistent state

Hello,

We have applied SPS a few months ago.

Everything works fine.

In snote, there are two notes in inconsistent state:

0000873466 COKEY2: Program termination due to data inconsistency

0001166092 BAPI_INTERNALORDER_CREATE: Packed fields

As everything works fine I do not want to reset or reapply them.

But how should I handle them?

I am tempted to simply change them to completed so that they disappear.

But as I am not very familiar with such situation, I would like to know

the best way to handle these inconsistent notes.

Regards,

You wpuld like to go through following link

http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-basis/implemented-sap-notes-showing-inconsi...

"It seems the SAP note has been modified by SAP. You can un-implement the note then download the latest version and then apply the the latest version"

Hello VIshal,

As I would like to stay in the current config.

What will happen at the next support package, if I do not do anything?

Hi Benoit,

I can't see any problem in the above solution . You can give it a try first in your sandbox / test system, check it over there throughly and move it to Production.

If you are still in doubt, raise an OSS message.

Hello,

The risk is the side effects.

It is easier to let it as is for me.

But I would like to know the consequences next time I apply SPS,

as I am not very familiar with that.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Please listen to Ratnajit Day suggestion. Check current state of inconsistent notes to SPS you implemented. If inconsistent notes delivered in packages not implemented in your system (more likely), reapply them if needed (more likely if you implemented them before)

Hello,

The first inconsistent note 873466 applies only to ECC 5.

We are running ECC 6.04.

Therefore I should reset it in snote tx.

Is it correct?

Please check the SAP notes first and figure out if the code corrections are already applied or not in the system depending on the support package with which it is delivered . In that case , just select the notes and reset them to original. In case , the corrections are not applied , then apply them , but make sure it does not have any negative impact.

Just for information , an standard SAP note only brings code corrections only , any DDIC changes needs to be done manually and also Z programs which are kind of a temporary requirement.
