SAPFTP Connection Problem

Hi All,

We have an FTP connection and it keeps failing when calling it through ABAP.

FTP_CONNECT fails when calling using SAPFTPA.  Can not send or download files from remote FTP Server/ABAP Application Server

Any ideas to how we can correct this.

What is the verison of your SAPFTP.exe file?  Try replacing it with the latest patch level for your Kernel.

Should I replace my whole Kernel instead of the ftp file.  How do you only replace an FTP file?

What would you want to replace the whole Kernel, if you are just having problems with one file.

Always keep a copy of your original file before replacing it.  Take a look at this note 93042.  Make sure you are downloading the file for your Kernel release and bit.

I replaced the file and it seems to be working.

Do we have to keep replacing the file every time when there is a new release?
