How to insert penalty cost group in SNP1 in background

Hello,

I am trying to create a conversion tool for mass creation of products in APO. In my situation, due to business reasons, we are not transferring materials from ECC to APO and instead creating products directly in APO.

I am trying LSMW option to do so.

In order to create a product, I need to go to SNP1 tab, and in location dependent costs, need to insert line(s) for inserting penalty groups for each requirement class (1,5,6) using '+' symbol. This particular action of 'insert' line is not being captured in BDC recording in LSMW.

I tried to find a way using MASSD transaction. But by principle, MASSD is used to 'change' data rather than create data, hence did not find any option to do so.

Any suggestion on this would be of immense help.

Hi Manotosh,

you can record one creation of a product in SECATT.

Then you parametrize the fields in the ECATT as variable field for ECATT variants.

The variants are txt files.

fill the txt files with your values every line corrresponds to a new product.

Run the ECATT feeding the txt file as input variants.

The ECATT creates the products.

You can get more information on the method from SAP Best Pratices. They use since years with ERP to create master data flexibly and in masses.
