Hi,
I would like to know what the differences/advantages/disadvantages are between "Interactive Forms in Web Dynpro for Java in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio" and "Interactive Forms in Web Dynpro for ABAP in ABAP Workbench".
I have read both general info on both items (
<b>Interactive Forms in Web Dynpro for Java in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio:</b>
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/60/6fc10c6748479392101e09c9e8d33a/content.htm
<b>Interactive Forms in Web Dynpro for ABAP in ABAP Workbench:</b>
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/aa/940ee5331b4b8fa0a6cb6714dc5db4/content.htm )
but couldnt figure out what the big difference was. It seems dat SAP Netweaver is more complex and also has more functions for bigger projects and more developers. Other then that i couldnt really find any information about advantages or disadvantages between the 2 items
Well,
It depends on your background. If you are a Java Developer and worked on Netweaver Developer Studio, then you can prefer this Adobe Interactive Forms development using NWDS.
And if you are an ABAPer, then you can go for Adobe Interactive forms in ABAP environment.
I suggest NWDS development strategy only because it has got lots of options,So learning Java based WD's is a better option.

Hi,
There is no much difference in both but Adobe interactive forms using webdynpro java is more matured one than ABAP one.
Still SAP needs to implement few features in Interactive form using webdypro ABAP.
For example -
Webdynpro ABAP has only one event on button clcik - onSubmit
ON_SUBMIT
Webdynpro Java has two events on button clcik
¡ CheckFields
¡ SubmitToSAP
