Expiry date consideration in Pegging of PPDS Heuristic "SAP_PP_SL001"

Hi,

We have following scenario.

For material RM04 there are three batches with expiry date as below:

Batch     Min shelf life     Max shelf life     Qty

001         1sept 12          1oct 12               100

002         1oct 12            1 nov 12             100

003         1nov 12           1 dec 12             100

System is configured for planning based on maximum shelf life date. There is a requirement element of 150 quantity with required date as 3rd Nov12.

In this case system shall consume batch 001 & 002 first as they are near to their expiry. So system shall allocate 100 qty from batch 001 & 50 from 002.

But what we found after heuristic run is system allocating batch 003 first with 100 quantity then batch 002 for 50.

How can we meet the requirement? i.e. batches near expiry shall consume first.

Please let us know is you faced simillar problem...

Regards

Nikhil

Please consider the req element date as 10th of september in above case instead of 3rd of november12.
