BEx always updates at client restart after 730 upgrade - SAPGUI Install server

Hi

We have a SAPGUI Install Server which we recently upgraded to SAPGUI 730, including BEx & recent BEx-patch.

Now the clients which had BEx-Addin 720 installed always get a "Want to update" after restart, although the new 730-compatible BEx-Addin is already installed on the clients (at least they already clicked "Yes" to update it).

Do you know a workaround which does not involve uninstall/reinstall BEx on the clients?

Hello Michael,

Did you update the installation server with the latest sapsetup patch?

Hi Jude.

I didn't even know a patch for SAPSetup exists, or rather I hoped it is included in the numerous other patches I use to "patch the server". Thanks for the link!

Hopefully some of our clients will report if they have still frequent Update-Popups after I patched the server / AWUS. In case I will update this post.

From the few responses I received from the clients I can confirm that an update of SAPSetup solved the problem.
