Yes, without picking PGI can be done.

But for this settings have to be maintained at delivery item category level; t code 0vlp; field "Relevant for picking" has to be kept BLANK.

As a test, do the following:

1. In 0vlp (zeroVLP) make field"Relevant for picking" blank, for your item category (e.g. TAN or better ZTAN)

2. Create sales order, then create delivery, NO picking is needed

Directly PGI can be done.

SAP, 0vlp, field "Relevant for picking", F1 help:

Relevant for picking or putaway
Indicates whether delivery items of this type are relevant for picking or putaway.
Use
In the case of outbound deliveries, only the delivery items that are relevant for picking are transferred to the Warehouse Management (WM) component. Certain items such as text items or service items (consulting activities) are not relevant for picking.
In the case of inbound deliveries, this indicator controls whether the item is relevant for putaway. This indicator must be set in order for the item to be included in a Warehouse Management transfer order and then put away.

             here one doubt is there from my side if we de activate picking setting in ovlp delivery item category  for tan item cat ,we cant  do picking right but we can do pgi

but system is not reducing the stock we can check in md04

my major doubt is in which scenarios for tan item category's we do pgi with out picking

i am asking your doubt according to ur post

as for TW ans is right,

once item category is not relevant for picking , then you raise the order , delivery and pgi then stock automatically reduce , check the MMBE level ,

I sited TAN (better would be to create a copy of TAN = ZTAN, and do the changes) to check whether PGI is possible without picking.

Note: It is good that you are checking stock after executing a process.

In my tests (while posting my above post), I check MMBE (stock) and it got reduced after PGI.

Please do the test:

1. Delivery item category not relevant for picking

2. Check in MMBE for stock (initial stock)

3. Sales order > delivery > PGI (no picking)

4. Check in MMBE for stock reduction.

Another test could be done with RE process.

In RE process, delivery item category REN is NOT relevant for picking

Check in MMBE, if stock is increased.

Dear murali

         in sap for service material no need picking directly we can do PGI but in except service material you cant do pgi with out picking

first you know what is  meaning of picking  , picking means just be ready stock for transferring

check forum before posting .
