route missing in order

Hi,

we have the following scenario in route determination.

defined departure zones,

defined destination zones,

using two shipping conditions,

using four transportation groups, by using these parameters we maintained route determination. for all the dep zones we connected all the des zones using all the possibilities, ie: shipping cond, and tran group 2*4= 8 , for one set dep and dest zones we maintained 8 possible combimnations. that means the variable factor is either dep zone or dest zone.

for one ship to customer we created an order with 10 items, out of which 5 items got the correct route and five wrong route.

in some orders it is missing for some items.

i checked with the master data in MMR and CMR for the variables, it is maintained.

In QA system i checked with same material and customer and doc type it is determining correct route. what could be possible other factor that canchange the route or miss the route in a sales order.

Hi,

Please check the time zone of the ship to party in the sales order. It should match with the time zone of the destination point which you would have configured in the tpt connection points.

For route determination check the following combination if it exists for your material.

1. Departure Zone (linked to the shipping point)

2. Shipping condition (comes from Sold to party)

3.Transportation group (from the material master)

4. Transportation zone (from ship to party)

you can check this combination in table TROLZ (config table) if there exists a route assigned to the particluar combination.

in case even after all these are present still it is not determining means there would be some user exit which you may need to check

VA03, put cursor on route field in the order where the route is missing - press drop-down (F4) - does it show message "no possible values found" ?

try to run FM SD_ROUTE_DETERMINATION and provide values from your sales order with missing route - you'll see if the route is determined.

Hi Venkatesh,

For route determination Check the following entries:

1) Shipping pt must have country and departure zone.

2) Transpotration grp in the sales general /plant data in materail master.This might be missing for some of the materials.

3) Shipping pt must have country and transportation zone in SD basic functions.
