Webdynpro crossed Generation Limits. How critical is this issue?

While activating one of our Webdynpro components (inherited from another team), we are getting an error saying "Crossed Generation Limits. Please restructure the component immediately". When we did a Check->Generation Limits, the size was 2.1 MB. Now we have removed some code and made it to 2.05 MB. The component is already released to Customer and we are currently in a support pack. We are not allowed to do major changes. How critical is this issue? At what size of the webdynpro component, we will start getting generation errors and may not be able to generate the component any more?

if it exceeds 2MB,

takes more time to load application

user session may get timed out

primarily its not allowed to exceed the limit

and generation mostly depends on context nodes

better way you can do is, make use of Custom Controller or Component Usages.

      can we increase that  webdynpro component size from 2 MB to 5 MB  ..

if yes,  How can i increase  ? where i need to do this changes?

if no,  why ? ...
