Sold to Party's Sales Area is not automatically set while creating Sales Order

Team,

I am creating the sales order in VA01 with Following inputs.

Document Type, Sales org., Dist.Channel, Division.

Then in the next screen , I am maintaining the Sold to party and press enter.Here the system is not automatically chooses the sold to party with the Sales Area I have maintained in the initial screen. It is giving Pop Up window and showing  all the Customer-Sales Area  in which this customer is maintained and expects us to choose from that list. Is it a Standard functionality?

As per my understanding, If you maintain the sales area in the initial screen and maintain the Customer in the next screen, system should  automatically consider the Customer-Sales Area Combination which we have maintained already.

Experts, Pl. tell me is there any configuration setting I am missing in this regard?

Extend  the customer in that sales area in XD01

The Customer has already been maintained in the Sales Area which I entered in the initial screen of the VA01.

Try maintaining common distribution channel and common division (T.Codes VOR1 and VOR2)

This would help.
