Hello,
I've recently read about the SAP Solution Manager's functionality (Template Management - Application Lifecycle Management) in managing central template creation and multiple systems deployment.
While this is all very interesting, just one question, can this functionality work for SAP BW objects as well?
It talks alot about IMG and ABAP Workbench development, but made no reference to SAP BW objects.
Can someone perhaps point me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Wendy,
SAP BW is not really heavily supported by SAP Solution Manger in Standard. However you can use customer exists to define additional objects like SAP Queries and InfoProviders in SAP BW. Since BW is not really a transaction base system, e.g. RSA1, RRMX it makes sense to show InfoProviders and Queries in a BW Blueprint. It is relatively easy to use the SAP provided customer exists and then you can assign queries instead of transactions in the transaction tab for BW.
Kind Regards,
Heiko
