CUP Issue

Hi,

We have GRC 5.3 and use CUP..

We also have CUA in place..

Recently (following some password parameter changes (RZ10) on the child system), we started seeing an issue wherein all new users created / modified via CUP get stuck in the master system SCUL with a message saying:

"Please enter initial password" for the daughter system in question..

The new passwords do get emailed to the newly created users via CUP..

A simple Save in SU01 clears SCUL..

Are there some specific password parameters for CUP ...

Please advise.

Can you please check RZ11 for CUP's password parameter settings?

We set the downward compatibilty parameter to 1 on all systems..n all's well now

Hi Saba,

Regarding password parametrs, the generated password has dependency on the target system's

Password Parameter settings.Kindly refer to the below link for detailed information-

Thanks for the reply...

Yes exactly..but in this case..CUP is able to generate & even email the user the new password..its only that the logs somehow get stuck in SCUL..

We have maintained password parameters with no restrictions...

Do you know where I can check CUP's password parameter settings...n then maybe compare the same with those on the daughter system..
