NW04 SP11 Installation ?

Hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade my current WAS NW04 SR1 (SP9) installation on WINNT/MAXDB to SP11. The installation "hangs" in phase 6 of 19 "Deploy File System" and the status bar says "Deployment Succesful".

The log file contains the following errors and warnings:

ERROR 2005-03-18 17:48:23

FCO-00060 The script block includes the script block <#1> , but there is no common script block element with that in your control file. Please inform the support team.

The last info is:

I'm running the installation on JDK version 1.4.2_7.

Any ideas what could be the problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There doesn't seem to be anything definitive in the log file. Check the sapinst_dev.log and see what the last step was that completed successfully. If you can't find any steps with error then simply cancel and retry - if that still hangs you may need to find the step it was on when it hung and simply mark in "OK" in keydb.xml.

Exhaust all the other options before you manually "adjust" the status in keydb.xml.

Hi Elvez,

Please check in C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\PATCH\DB6\java.exe.log. It should give you more information about the error.

Best regards,

Vladimir

I can't find anything that's wrong. Can you? Any other suggestions what the problem could be? Is it wrong to update directly from SP9 to SP11. Would it solve the problem if I start with SP10 and then SP11?

Thanks in advance.

this could be because of one of the below reasons.

1) Increase value in your page file size in OS.

2) change the JVM settings in your WAS.

Then try. Hope it will resolve your problem.

Hi Abdul,

thank you for the reply. Could you give me some values for

1) Page file size

2) JVM settings (I've already applied note: 709140, 755490)

Best regards,

Elvez
