looking for a MII 11.5 reporting solution

Hi folks,

We are using MII 11.5 as the standard version and recently we are looking for a solution to replace our report layout - MII just provided 'Write file' action blocks in BLS to allow us to generate a csv file, this file is quite rough, without any color,format..., we can use PDF action blocks but the file it generated is still not so clean, so limited.

The content we want to cover in the report is rich, a lot of captions, grid table data, textfields... so is there any solution that we can use based on 11.5 to make the report beauty, simple and clean? (not html file)

Since you're running 11.5 you're also running IIS, you can go with an asp.net solution usin microsoft's charting framework foremerly dundas charts. This will cause problems when you want to upgrade mii to 12 since it's run on Sap's netweaver platform, not impossible but a little more difficult.

You could also use Sap's reporting platform of business object, Xcelsius for dashboards and cystal for reporting. Using asp.net you can easily put these in you're 11.5 mii and when you upgrade 12.2 has crystal integration out of the box.
