Hello,
when you install any SAP System with sapinst, you are force to install the diagnostic agent.
But we are installing it afterwards, after everything else is done.
How can I tell my sapinst not to install the diagnostic agent?
Thanks
Jan
Nope, you cannot skip this step. It is part of an SAP system installation.
What we do is install the diagnostics agent with SAP system. After the installation is done we use SAPInst to uninstall it. We then install a new DA with custom SID, register with SLD etc..

Dear Jan,
I don't think you can skip that step, please refer to the SolMan installation guide page 37
https://websmp210.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000735220&
Diagnostics agent parameters :
the diagnostic agent is installed automatically with the SAP system.
It seems there is no reason for a separate installation of the Diagnostic agent, you could however
install the Host agent separately, see chapter 7.8 installing the host agent separately
of the referred guide.
Best regards,
Javier
