Hi Gurus,

In our current scenario, we would like to have the POS data as an input for forecasting. This POS data is accessed from a web portal in XML format.

how could i convert this XML format file into an APO usable (CSV/TXT) file format.. could you please share your ideas as to how i could automate this process of converting the file formats from XML to TXT and load the data ultimately into APO BW cubes...

Thanks

Hello Shreeyath,

You can covert an XML file into excel file using following steps:

1.Open any new excel document.

2. Go to Developer

3.The XML portion contains useful options for XML coding in Excel.Click on the import button

and select the .xml file from your system

It will give you the corresponding excel file.

Hello Shree,

Please follow the steps to add Developers tab:

1.Go to options tab in the excel options.

2.click the Customize Ribbon option.

Customize Ribbon

3.Now check the Developer option in the right sidebar and hit OK

Excel Deverloper Tab

That’s it, you will find the Developer tab on the Ribbon.

Hello Shree,

Good that it helped you in adding Developer Tab.

I am not sure about the automation process of conversion of XML into excel files.

But you can use my 1st reply  to convert the XML into excel file.
