Using SFTP Add-on for Service pack 05

Hello Friends,

There is an urgent need to use SFTP adapter for one of our critical requirement.

However i understand that this Add-on is available for SAP PI 711 SP8 .

But i am using SAP PI 711 , SP5.

So instead of doing an entire update from SP5 to SP8, is there any other way, that i can use this Addon.

I didnt realize you raised a Discussion for this. So for those referring the thread, I will reiterate my replies:

"There is no way out here and SP upgrade is a must here. We did the same in our landscape. Even if you manage to tweak the adapter to work in SP05, you will not get any support from SAP for that tweaked adapter."

"SP upgrade will be required sooner or later. But if you try to convince them for upgrade cost Vs cost of third party SFTP adapter license, I am pretty sure upgrade will be cheaper. "

Some bugs have been fixed, check this note 1631887 - ESR,SR,UDDI,MESSAGING related changes in 7.11 SP08

Finally, i have convinced the customer to do an upgrade from SP5 to SP8.

But, now i need to identify the challenges and the procedure to go ahead.

Could you guide me by providing any document or link.

Not possible. AFAIK, you need to have SP8.
