Service against material sold by Customer to another customer.

Hi,

Is there any way to give service on resale material.

My Requirement is like

We had sold Machine to Customer A, and is under waranty.Now Customer A has sold the material to Customer B under the warranty period.

1st how do we create waranty data for Customer B, and how do we create Notification and service order to against Customer B.

I have solution as well but am not sure,

i have to create New material Code for the material and assign the same serial no. so when we enter the serial no at IQ03, system will give the list of materials against serial no. Here we can select the Customer B.  Am i correct??
