SAP System Unicode Conversion

Hello All

We have requirement for our ECC 5.0 system.

we want convert our SAP ECC 5.0 system  from Non Unicode to Unicode

system details:

SAP ECC 5.0

Database: MS-Sql 2000

Kernel: 640 Patch Level 155

Unicode :No

SAP_Appl:  15

After Unicode conversion we have to upgrade this system to ECC6.0

The first step to go for an unicode conversion is to go through SAP note

Note 548016 - Conversion to Unicode

For single code page system conversion to unicode refer SAP note Note 1051576 - Conversion of Single Code Page Systems to Unicode

Then in the above mentioned SAP note is a zip file SCP640.zip

This is the unicode conversion guide for Web AS 640 based systems (which is ECC 5.0)

The above note also outlines the basic overview of steps that you need to follow.

You need to have the atleast  SAP_BASIS component SAPKB64023.

Also suggest you to go through PAM @ http://service.sap.com/pam for support database and OS releases for your unicode system.
