Hi,

I am trying to integrate my Crystal reports with SAP B1 but I get this error when i run the "SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe" file:

Error -1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed

The steps for my installation are:

1) Install SAP B1 8.82 PL4

2) Install Crystal Rpt 2008 V1 SP3

3) go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\Crystal\ and run "SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe"

Anyone knows how to resolve this?

Thanks!

Ivan

I've resolved the error.

The error:

Error -1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed

is not an SAP error, but is actually a windows installer error.

This windows installer error occurs because there are some remaining entries in the windows registry that were not removed.

The steps to do the removal can be found here:

http://www.bluebeam.com/us/support/articles/install/in-error-1605.asp

Basically just go to registry:

- On the Start menu, click in the Search field.

- Type regedit and press Enter

- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

- Find anything with the name “crystal report integration package” and delete (I found 3 entries and deleted all)

- After that run the CR integration package again, and it will create the “addin” folder in the BusinessObject directory, and also create the Add-in option in crystal report developer.

Hi,

I have just read thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/1908695.

Have tried to close crystal report before doing the setup.

And have tried to run click on "SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe" and "run as administrator" already.

But still getting the same error.

Hi,

We've tried to narrow the problem down, and it appears to have something to do with the folder

C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\

We noticed that this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\Addins

should have more files inside, but on my server, there is only one file.

I have tried to copy the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\ from another installation, to my server, but I still get errors.

May I know if anyone knows how I can reinstall this C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\ folder?

Thanks!

I've tried to reinstall crystal report.

So I uninstalled crystal report.

Renamed the existing C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\ directory

The reinstalled crystal report.

I noticed that under C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86, I don't have the addins folder.

I only have:

- NOTES

- smartservers

- Start Page

whereas from another one of my installations, I see the folders:

- Addins

- dotnet1

- NOTES

- smartservers

- Start Page

How do I get the Addins and dotnet1 folder to be installed?

Thanks!

I tried to uninstall SAP B1, but leave crystal reports there.

Now I'm installing SAP B1.

I've installed the server, and now the client.

When installing the client, the "Crystal report 2008 runtime sp3" is installed and can be seen from "programs and features" on windows.

And in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory, the folder "dotnet1" is created. However still not "Addin" folder created.

Will update again if I can get the "Addin" folder back.

Unfortunately, still no Addin folder.

And when I run the "SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.exe" file, I still get the same error:

Error -1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed

Does anyone know what's the problem?
